Description
A tall lighthouse rises from a rocky coastal bluff beside a sandy beach and calm water. Small buildings cluster near the base of the tower, and a few tiny figures appear along the shoreline. The scene is a bright color view with open sky and ocean stretching to the right. undated

MONTAUK POINT LIGHTHOUSE
Five miles from the quaint fishing village of Montauk,
which is rich in Indian and Colonial history, stands the
octagonal tower of Montauk Point Lighthouse. Built
in 1795, this light juts far out into the sea on the
slender seapoint tip of Long Island.
