The Plaza Hotel in Danville, Illinois, stands proudly in this colorized postcard, a multi-story brick building with arched windows and a State Bank on the ground floor. The vintage postcard features a one-cent Benjamin Franklin stamp and a German-printed “Private Post Card” marking. This lovely postcard, showing a building that replaced an old schoolhouse, dates from approximately the 1910s.
