Sterling is the largest city of Northeastern
Colorado with a monthly payroll of over $300,000.
It lies on Platte River on Highway U. S. 138,
the principal road into Colorado from the north
east which is paved or graveled over most of its
distance. Several fine hotels and Tourist Camps
afforded good accommodations for the traveler.
