Description
A young child in a sailor-style outfit stands on a small platform above rippling water, holding up an envelope in one hand and a ribboned object in the other. A large marker labeled with the number 1 and the word January rises beside the child, reinforcing the New Year theme. The sky is softly painted with clouds, giving the scene a dreamy holiday look. The card is dated 1908.
