Heilman’s Marine Room and Grill boasts superb food and unusually fine cocktails at the junction of Rts. 2 & 6 with Rt. 57 in Lorain. Famous for their “Back to the Farm Fried Chicken Dinner,” this white building with blue shutters and a red-roofed tower makes a perfect postcard memory. This circa 1920s postcard shows a delightful scene of a restaurant.

Dear Lena: Thanks for your nice birthday card, note. Two of our neighbor couples went with us to this place for a delicious chicken dinner to celebrate. Cards arrived every day for a long time. It was a lovely birthday. HEILMAN'S MARINE ROOM and GRILL Jct. of Rts. 2 & 6 with Rt. 57 at Lorain. Since 1920. Superb food, unusually fine cocktails. Famous for the "Back to the Farm Fried Chicken Dinner", excellent pies and heavenly cream slaw.
So we had a nice time. I'm sorry to hear you are having a rough time. I hope they and your V.P. is back to normal by now. My feeling better has been critical, but nice today – getting warmer & sunny.
