Dear Pat:
Got your card just before I left D.C. Thanks a million. My Mom is real sick and there are 8 people at home to cook for, so I figured I'd be more use at home. I only took 2 months leave and plan to return to D.C. in November.
Pictures were good. Will send them when I get settled. May be awhile.
Sure seemed funny to leave the VA. Only Pat G. and Beverly left. We are driving through day and night, so far we've had a grand trip. Four people from the church and me in a '49 Pontiac. They are only going to Salt Lake – then I'll catch a bus on home. Am sure anxious to get there.
Excuse the scribbling – it's the Kansas roads.
Write soon, Love,
Julinetta, Idaho
